Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CoinSnap mobile app and related services (the "Service"), operated by CoinSnap ("CoinSnap," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using CoinSnap, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1Acceptance of terms

By using CoinSnap you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use CoinSnap. CoinSnap creates an anonymous account tied to your device so you can save coins and access features. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your device and account, and for keeping your device secure.

3License to use CoinSnap

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial coin collecting and hobby purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its data without our written permission.

4AI identification & valuations

CoinSnap uses artificial intelligence to identify coins and estimate values based on photos you provide and reference data.

• Results are estimates and may be incomplete or inaccurate, especially for worn, cleaned, altered, counterfeit, or rare items.
• Estimated values reflect general market references and can change; they are not guarantees of resale price.
• The "Penny" AI assistant provides general information, not professional numismatic, legal, tax, or financial advice.
• You are solely responsible for decisions made based on the Service.

5Subscriptions & payments

Some features require a paid subscription or one-time purchase, billed through the Apple App Store.

• Billing & renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown at purchase, unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Managing & canceling. Manage or cancel anytime in your device's App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies; we generally cannot issue refunds directly.
• Changes. We may change features or pricing prospectively, with notice where required.

6Your content

You retain ownership of the photos, notes, posts, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant CoinSnap a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service (for example, to run identification and show your collection). You represent that you have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not infringe others' rights.

7Community rules

CoinSnap includes community features such as groups, posts, comments, and polls. Be respectful and keep discussion relevant to coins and collecting. We may moderate, edit, or remove content, and suspend accounts, to keep the community safe and lawful.

8Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purpose, including misrepresenting coins for sale.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security.
• Impersonate others or misuse another person's account or device.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit CoinSnap data without permission.

9Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, catalog, and reference content, is owned by CoinSnap and its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted to you, no rights are transferred. "CoinSnap" and related logos are our trademarks and may not be used without permission.

10Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that identifications or valuations are correct, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoinSnap and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or value of coins, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12Termination, governing law & contact

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. You may stop using CoinSnap and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of the operator's jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
